Mr. Gwaltney spent 35 years in numerous Senior Level Executive positions within Ford Motor Company in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance Disciplines.
He is an Executive Leader with Operational and Strategic Experience at all levels and across all functions in one of the top 10 corporations in the world. He has a proven track record leading Marketing, Sales, Financial Subsidiaries, and Operating Divisons. During his Fast-track 35 year career, he successfully managed leading brands for a global corporation, overseeing multibillion-dollar operating budgets, and leading teams through transformational change and subsequent growth.
He has used his natural talent for selecting the right people, building teams and motivating and empowering managers, to achieve exceptional results. He has expert relationship building skills, team building skills and networking skills with the proven ability to develop strategic partnership and communicate effectively.
After his recent retirement from a Senior Executive level position at Ford Motor Company, he founded "J Gwaltney & Associates" which consults on Automotive Industry and General Business issues to Investment Groups and Private Equity Firms as well as providing independent evaluations of potential investment opportunities.
Mr. Gwaltney also serves on several Corporate and University Boards, and mentors female executives through the Menttium Program.
As a consequence of his community, philanthropic and educational support, he was awarded an Honorary Doctors Degree by North Carolina A&T State University.
